Later Sigiriya Police Crime Division OIC I.H.M.S. Herath had gone to the hospital and had asked the student to call the suspect unsuspectingly and get him down to the same place.
The OIC had instructed the student to call him in such a way that the suspect would be enthusiastic to meet her. The OIC had also taken steps to deploy a police team where the suspect was expected to come. And Police had arrested the suspect after he appeared to the spot to meet the school girl.
