Many women who are harassed by perverts in public transport keep mum to the situation in fear or disgust. Although some women boldly inform a male passenger hoping some action to be taken.
We have received a video clipping of such an incident which occurred in the Mattakuliya –Soysapura 155 bus route. A pervert harassing a Muslim woman has been recorded in a video today (4) morning.
The culprit has been harassing women in this manner for some times and many have even complained about him to the conductor.
Yet he manages to escape with some excuse.
Incident of this manner should be videoed and circulated as a precautionary measure to alert the public of such harassment and such videos can be used as evidence to punish the culprit as these measures could curtail incidents of this nature in the country.
