The principal giving evidence stated that the boy and two other students were ask to inform their parent to come to school on Monday for an disciplinary action to be taken as the boys were involved in disconnecting electricity in the main hall
And she insisted that these boys were not given any sort of punishment the parents were asked to come only to make sure that these boys refrained from doing anything of this sort in the future since this could be a threat to their life. The post mortem of the Chanuka Kalhara was conducted by the Nuwara eliya general hospital judicial medical officer Gayan Kumarasiri and given a verdict that the death was due to hanging and officer into sudden death inspector Rahula Udugamage handed over the body to the parents.
The final rights were conducted yesterday (21) at the Nuwara Eliya burial grounds.
