These 4 have reached the Rawana fall by bus and as they were walking towards the top of the fall they have used a mobile phone of a person who was nearby to make a phone call to the mother of the three daughters. The mother had spoken to the owner of the mobile phone and had requested him to prevent them from committing suicide.
He had acted accordingly and informed his father who is a coroner and through him the Ella Police officer in charge had been informed of this incident.
The police had interfered and prevented this incident and later the three daughters and the father was taken in to custody.
The reason for them to make such decision is a family conflict between the mother and the father.
