Sanka, how is life? How is Music?
I did a new song. But it won’t be released soon. My previous song, “Re Sihine” is still popular. It is played in all the channels, and has hit number one in chart shows. Therefore, I thought I have no rush to release the new song soon.
You are a star in music industry now. Every song of yours is popular. What’s the secret to it?
In my opinion, a Star becomes popular in one night. But I came to this position amidst lot of obstacles. Anyway, now I am aware of how to shape my market.
How is your demand for musical shows?
A good demand is there. These days, most of my time is spent with musical shows. Apart from that, I am conducting a one man show both in Sri Lanka and abroad as well.
How is your family life?
Good. I live very happily with my family. That life has a different flavor. Our son is 8 months old now. He is Yugan. My wife helps me a lot in all my work.
Because of musical shows do you only stay at home during the day?
There are days that I reach home with the dawn. On those days I stay at home till late. My son needs me a lot. He likes me feeding him rice. He wants to play with me too. He comes to play the guitar with me. He loves music, especially mine.
You are still receiving love letters from girl fans, right?
No, now I don’t get such letters. But love SMS are a lot. I just read them and have a tiny smile.
