The body to be exhumed soon ?Police had made special arrangements to provide special security to the Dehiwala cemetery where the body of the Rugby player Wasim Thajudin's body is buried.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris ordered the Colombo Chief Judicial Medical Officer Ananda Samarasaekaraṭa on the 28th of July to submit the final report of the post mortem examination of Thajudin. The case will be heard again on the 10th of September . However the final post mortem report related to Thajudin has not been presented so far.
The CID had informed the high courts that they suspect Thajudin's death to be a murder on the 27th of July when the case was brought up.
The investigations carried out revealed that the death had been caused due to an attack using sharp and blunt weapons around the neck area.
The charred remains of Thajudin were found inside his motor vehicle near the Shalika grounds in Narahenpita on the 17th of May in 2012.
Thajudin is a resident of Wellawatte Murugan area.
