4 women and their manager were arrested and among the arrested women was a popular tele darama actress.
Women between 22 to 30 from the areas of Anuradhapura Tangalle Mahiyangana and Negombo were employed at the rate of Rs 2000/- and above in this brothel center. The investigations were carried out based on complains made by the neighbors.
The suspects were presented before the the Colombo High Courts and were released on a surety of Rs 200,000/-and the two suspects who were unable to pay the fine were sentenced to be involved in community service.
