Former Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekara alias Choka Malli who allegedly shot dead a United National Party (UNP) supporter in Kahawatta during the recently concluded presidential election was further remanded until March 3 by Pelmadulla Magistrate Dinesh Lakmal Perera yesterday.


The number of suspects arrested in connection with this crime increased to seven with the arrest of Nivithigala Pradeshiya Sabha Vice Chairman Ajith Malavi.
