There are only 122 students at the Kotalugodalanda Junior School in Ruwenwella.

Ten students of a class in this school has formed a volleyball team. This team has now earned the third position in volleyball in the island.


They have secured this position at the D. S. I Super Sport volleyball tournament even without having a ball for practices. They have visited homes and collected money to buy a ball.

The man behind this power team is their coach and principal Henry Peiris.

The volleyball team members are also good in their studies. Every teacher in this school work hard to teach their students.

We believe that if this group had more help and sufficient equipment they can take Sri Lanka to an international platform.
