Captain Angelo Mathews has apologised for the team’s disappointing tour of England.

Sri Lanka lost the Test series with 2-0 and the one-day international series with 3-0. The final match of the series is taking place today.

Taking to Twitter Mathews said, "There will be some who will hate us, some will still love us. Sorry for letting you down."

"It is tough times but will come back hard," he added.
