The fasting campaign staged by Deputy Minister Palitha Thevarapperuma, against the non-admission of ten children to the Year One class of Meegahatenna Primary School, concluded today.

The Deputy Minister concluded the fast after the Principal of the relevant school promised to admit the students.


Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Thevarapperuma has been admitted to Meegahatenna Hospital, after his health condition deteriorated.

The Deputy Minister and a group of parents commenced their fasting campaign in front of Matugama Zonal Education office last Monday.
