A man from Thalathuoya has gotten himself admitted to a hospital over the suspicion that his wife had poisoned him.
 
The father of two has claimed that his wife had dissolved poison in his alcohol bottle before he drank it.

Following a fight over an extra marital affair, the man has bought an alcohol bottle. After drinking from it he has gone to a shop to buy cigarettes. But when he returned and drank from the bottle he has felt a burning sensation in his throat.
 
Suspecting his wife has added poison with the drink he has gone to the hospital.
 
Later the man was sent to a psychologist, reports say.
