Police officers of Kaluthara Southern Police Station have taken a person named Susil Pushpakumara who was known to be a lunatic to the police station and handed over him to his guardians after grooming him.
According to officer Sanjiv, he has spotted the person with a long beard and dirty-torn clothes staring at nowhere on his way home from work place. After hearing a revelation made by Hiru TV Tharu Walalla, Sanjiv has thought to conduct a primary research on how this person ended up in a road.
Thus, the Police team has approached the person and questioned him in a friendly manner- to which he hasn’t replied. The Police crew has shaved his long grown beard and hair- to which he hasn’t objected, and provided him with new clothes and sanitary facilities.
The victim, thereafter, has shared his emotional story with his rescuers.
Susil Pushpakumara, aged 50 has been a teacher when he had fallen love with a village girl. Amidst unbearable pressure directed at the couple from girl’s side has never let the couple to unite. Perplexed at his loss, Susil has fought with his parents and have left home and have been living senselessly over past decades.
When groomed Susil was not taken home by Police, parents nor the protagonist could recognize each other for the long absence. However, both parties later identified each other.
Susil has pledged police officers that he would never fight with his parents while susil’s parents have been thankful to Police Officer Sanjiv Wijewira and his fellow policemen.
It is further reported that the mother of Susil Pushpakumara has even called and thanked Sanjiv Wijewira when her son finally ate food cooked by her after ages, in a teary voice.
