Seya’s murderer, Saman Jayalath was seized by Police after a number of false accusations on innocent people such as the school pupil and Dunesh Priyashantha a.k.a. Kondaya.
However, after few months of Seya’s demise, Seya’s mother had spoken about the hardships the family went through due to the unwanted publicity to the death.
According to Seya’s mother, Seya’s father who was an English teacher has lost few jobs before and after the incident. The mother who has explained the disaster happened to the family. She elaborates on how the family couldn’t appear in public due to a number of false rumors the family was attacked with.
Therefore, being in a massive financial abyss, Seya’s mother requests media to not to publish their pictures or nude pictures of her daughter- Seya while thanking media for their immense support provided by being vigilant on the case which hurried seizing the murderer.
