Police Media Spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent Of Police (ASP) Ruwan Gunasekera noted that the post-mortem examination of the embilipitiya youth who died after falling from the top floor of a building, during a row with police in Embilipitiya, will be conducted today at the Ratnapura base hospital.
Meanwhile, Twenty-one police officers attached to the Embilipitiya police station have been transferred temporarily pending an investigation into the clash which resulted in the death of a youth and injured several others.
Meanwhile Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel have been deployed to tighten security in Embilipitiya after residents in the area staged a protest against police by blocking roads and hoisting black flags.
