"She had been dropped in Tennekumbura, close to her house by the Rapists"
A35 year old woman who was working as an assistant manager at the Kandy District Secretariat office has been abducted by force and gang raped.
By now it has been reported that she has been inhumanely raped after abducting her in a Three-wheeler.
The incident is reported to have taken place as follows.
The government servant has awaited her friend on the last 12th near Kandy Thennakumbura Bridge. Since her friend got late to come, a group of youth has come to the place after seeing her alone in the place.
Since the friend did not come on time, youths have come to the place in a Three-wheeler after seeing the woman being alone.
All of a sudden they have got off the Three-wheeler and abducted the woman in the Three-wheeler to be taken to Kundasale area.
It is reported that the 4 men have taken her to an isolated area and have inhumanely gang raped her many times.
Later she had been dropped in Tennekumbura, close to her house. The victim is currently being treated at Kandy hospital. Further investigations are conducted by Kandy police.
