MPs with Mahinda Rajapakse - Kumara Welgama, Bandula Gunawardane and Dallas Alahappaperuma


The planned meeting between President Maithripala Sirisena and Ex-President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to be taken place at the Parliament on Wednesday (tomorrow), sources stated.


Meanwhile, three SLFP MPs Kumara Welgama, Bandula Gunawardane and Dallas Alahappaperuma are scheduled to accompany former President Mahinda Rajapakse.

On the other hand, SLFP MPs such as Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala De Silva, Anura Priyadarshana Yaapa and Susil Premajeyantha are to accompany President Maithripala Sirisena.

The MPs had reportedly told the President that the meeting between the two is essential in order to sort out the differences. The Wednesdya’s meeting between the former SLFP President and the current SLFP President seems quiet significant.
