“That girl treated her grandmother lovingly”- neighbor
The Meetiyagoda police found a 78year old woman while been locked up in a room near a bathroom yesterday (02).
The granddaughter has told the police that she has not done anything wrong when police arrested the granddaughter as well as the daughter of the woman who had been left locked up unsafely.
Further the granddaughter has stated that the woman was provided food, clothing and all other necessities.
She also has stated that her grandmother screams sometimes and lays silent as if she is dead.
However it was reported later that this mother was suffering from a mental illness and a neighboring youth stated that the woman was housed near the bathroom since she would not stay in one place.
He further stated that the granddaughter took good care of the grandmother without hurting her.
