The Rambukkana police arrested parents who abandoned their three children at the grandparents and were living with their paramours.
The residents of Rambukkana Alugolla area 34 year old husband and 29 year old wife has abandoned their 14 year old daughter , 8 years old son and disabled youngest son at their grandparents house one and a half years ago and each of them living with their respective paramours.
The father has settled down with his paramour in Rambukkana area while the mother has settled down with her paramour in Piliyandala area.
The police was on the lookout of the two on a complaint received. The police had arrested the two on the pretext of getting them down to the police station to take a statement.
However the police have not given the children to the parents’ custody.
The police have taken steps to handover the girl’s custody to the grandmother and the two boys were sent to Kegalle hospital.
