He said so while speaking to Hiru TV’s ‘Pattare Visthare’ this morning (28).
Meanwhile, chief epidemiologist at the Health Ministry Dr. Sudath Samaraweera says the virus is spreading in clusters and urges the public to help curb it.
Following the finding of 457 new cases yesterday, Sri Lanka’s Covid-19 caseload now stands at 8,870.

These two clusters alone account for 5,396 infected persons.
Ten others were found from quarantine centres.
The death toll has risen by three to 19.
