The 63 year old deceased had fallen into the well situated near his house on last (14).
The area residents have found the body at around 1pm yesterday.
The minister had arrived at the scene at around 2pm. The minister had called the Kalutara district secretary and incited of the coroners delay before getting into the well.
The post-mortem was conducted yesterday (15) at the Kalutara Nagoda hospital and a verdict was given that the death was due to drowning in the water.
