Police say a 35-year-old government servant has been hacked to death in Werawatte, Yaala Junction in Anguruwatota.
The incident occurred at around 3.50 am today (Jul 16).
The victim, attached to Dodangoda Divisional Secretariat was residing at a boarding place for the last six month.
The assailants had attacked him inside his room.
He was a resident of Koshena, Bombuwala.
The victim was admitted to Horana Hospital in a critical condition.
However, he died due to his injuries.
The suspects are yet to be identified.
