Police have arrested the husband for murdering the popular female singer Priyani Jayasinghe.
 
He was arrested at the Panadura Railway Station, this morning (Jul 09).

Initial investigations found that she was stabbed to death using a pair of scissors.
 
Police said that her husband, the prime suspect in the crime had fled the area following the incident.
 
The 51-year-old singer found dead at around 8.45 pm yesterday (Jul 08) at her home in Panadura.
 
It was found that the couple was having family issues since last year
