We have received a totally different update about the incident of a girl being slapped by two guys which is going viral on the web. The Police Media Spokesman’s Office stated that the particular incident had occurred earlier in 2014 and that the issue which led to the squabble has been sorted out by now.
The people involved in the incident had made a complaint to the Katunayake police regarding the publishing of the video on social media. According to them the incident had occurred at about 1pm on 15th November in a land near River Maduwa.
The controversial video which was reproduced profusely on social media websites shows two guys and two girls. The person video–recording the incident can be identified as Chamara.
The youth who can be supposed to be the fiancé first initiates the slaps and it is seen that the other youth is urging him by contributing in the assault. The two guys are topless and the girl falls onto the ground by a fallen coconut tree. It also shows the girl’s companion calling her away.
However the whole issue regarding the incident is solved by now and the Police Media Spokesman’s Office stated that the couple involved are already engaged.
It is revealed that the girl in the video is employed in a garment factory. The video had been added to social media by a person at the mobile phone repairing shop where Chamara, the youth who captured the video had handed over his phone to be repaired. It is revealed further that a person at the shop had added the particular video to social media after watching it.
