That the DNA samples of the two suspects do not complement with the test conducted regarding the murder of Seya of Kotadeniyawa.
This was done according a motion forwarded by the CID to take the case into hearing today.
The zealed DNA report of the two persons in remand were presented before the Magistrate Court of Minuwangoda yesterday. As the case was taken into hearing the CID requested the Court to release the first two suspects today itself. Accordingly the Superintendent of Negombo Prison was ordered by the magistrate to present the respective suspects before Court today itself.
Also a complaint was made at the Commission of Human Rights claiming that the student has suffered violation of human rights. It was emphasized in the islandwide protests regarding the reoccurrence of crimes that maximum penalty must be enforced on criminals while justice must be meted out on those who are detained without proper evidence.
