Did an unseen force take the child away?

A little girl of 3 and a half who was found missing from home was found in a cave inside the forest after an operation of 12 hours.
The child is Kirihettige Dinithi Ahinsa of Pahariya, Karuwalagaswewa.

This child had suddenly disappeared last afternoon (29th) at about 3.30. Although an operation was in motion immediately with the coordination of the locals and the Karuwalagaswewa police it was not possible to find her till late evening.

Meanwhile her adults had gone to a shrine nearby to inquire about the missing child, and the occupants of the shrine had said that the girl is sitting alone in a cave inside a forest and that she will be coming out only if a woman would go there and call out her name.

Guided by this piece of information, the team in quest for the child had closed up on a cave about 10 miles away in the dense forest at about 3.30 in the morning.

The police says that the little girl had emerged from the cave when called by a woman in the team. Although the police officers and the team who went in search of the girl explored inside the cave they had not found anyone inside, not even a tell-tale trace of human occupation.

The police says that the girl had not been able to reveal how she had come so deep into the woods nearly 25km away from her home. It is believed that some sort of an unseen power had worked out to take the child to the cave where she was found.

The child was presented at the Base Hospital in Puttalam for a medical test.

The Karuwalagaswewa Police is carrying out further investigations.
