The criminal of Seya’s case has not yet been revealed. Various false news were spread to the effect that the child’s father had been convicted for child abuse.
Although he was labelled a suspect by neighbors as well, the police had said that his statements have proven to a certain extent his non-involvement in the incident.
However Seya’s father expressing his views to the media said that he is certain that a certain person in the village who was intimate with them is responsible for the crime.
He also says that he suspects that more than one must have been involved in the incident.
It is reported that 3 are being interrogated regarding the incident. Seya’s father says that one among them has children of his own and that he would not make any comment regarding him.
He further revealed that they had to face immense violence and protest from the villagers, who actually kept peeping from the windows ‘demanding the father & mother of the girl’, due to their suspicion of himself and ignorance with regard to the case; and that the situation had to be handled by the police.
