Little child weeps asking mother to be healed...
Police say a motor car, heading from Mahiyanganaya to Kandy, veered off the road and hit a motorcycle and two women in a bus halt, before crashing into a parapet wall.
Police said the motorcyclist and the two women were killed in the accident, which occurred at around 7.15 am today (10) at Gonawela in Theldeniya.
Police said that the driver had fallen asleep at the wheel, which has caused the mishap.
The driver of the car and another person were admitted to hospital with injuries.
Both women died on the spot. Police said one of the women, was taking her 7-year-old son to school when the tragedy struck.
However, the son survived without any injuries.
The son was crying asking for his mother, who was lying dead there.
