A young boy was ran over by a school van that was going towards Bandaragama and the boy who got killed had been identified as Chamod Hasintha aged 13,a resident of Delduwa Wadduva.

A girl who was passing by had seen the accident and rushed to that place to assist. As she arrived at the place of the accident she had learnt that it is her brother who has got killed by the accident.


" I saw a toppled van as I was on my way after school. I rushed with the intention of helping them. Unluckily that was my younger brother who has got killed.

The police says that the van had toppled due to a technical fault and the driver of the vehicle has been  arrested and will be presented before the Kaluthara Magistrate's  Court tomorrow (29).
