Passengers of the Colombo- Badulla train were evacuated on Monday (26) after police received an emergency call about a bomb.
Police Special Task Force personnel, following a search, stated that there was no bomb and the train proceeded.

Following investigations it was found that the call was made by a young woman. She has made the hoax threat to stop her ex-lover from going to the village to marry another girl. Her intention was to stop the man’s journey. However, police are carrying out further investigations.
