During the interview with a member of the national cricket selection committee he mentioned that few other players including Chandimal had been ruled out in the upcoming tour in India.
But the internal sources inform us this decision has been made due to a conflict between Lasith Malinga, the 2020 Captain and Chandimal over a personal issue.
Previously there had been incidents of Lasith Malinga expressing his displeasure to include Chandimal in the squad.
This was brought up at many forums including on the social network sites.
