A karate master from Galewela, Kandy who has been reportedly killed in Syria in an air strike last week is said to be the first Sri Lankan member of the ISIS, international and social media reports said.


His name is Abhu Shuraih Sailani, 37, and he has completed his LLB in in the Islamic University in Islamabad Pakistan. Abhu Shuraih Sailani is also fluent in Arabic , Urdu, Sinhala , Tamil and English .

He is a father of 6 children and his wife is pregnant for their seventh child.
