The second suspect of the sexual abuse incident of a group of students in Hatane area, Kandy, was remanded after being produced before the Kandy Chief Magistrate.

The suspect, a business man, has turned himself in to the police.


However, when the verdict to remand him till August 22, the suspect has fainted in the court house. He was later admitted to a hospital with tight police security.

The man along with another suspect, also arrested, have operated an institution to help students who have failed the G.C.E Ordinary Level to cope where they sexually abused a group of students.

The girls are aged between 15-17 years.
