The election is getting closer and the campaigns are getting heated up. A considerable number of former MPs have signed the nominations and many were wanting to know the district which former president will be contesting in the upcoming elections.


It is now confirmed that he will be contesting from the Kurunegala district. Sarath Fonseka was also prepared to contest from Colombo. However reliable sources inform us that he has changed the decision and will also be contesting from Krunegala to challenge the former president.

Sarath Fonseka will be representing the United National Front in the upcoming elections.
