A large gathering including the Maha Sangha and artistes engaged in demonstration in front of SLFP headquarters at Darley Road and Mahaweli Center today, demanding nomination for former MP R. Dumindha Silva.
The demonstrators started the campaign first in front of the SLFP headquarters at Darley Road, and later, they paraded towards the Mahaweli Center where UPFA nomination papers are signed.
The crowd continued the demonstration at the Mahaweli Center too.
One of the demonstrators who demanded nominations for former MP R. Dumindha Silva, Venerable Kiri-ibbanare Vijitha Thera said that he met UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha.
Meanwhile, former MP R. Dumindha Silva was present at the Mahaweli Center where UPFA nomination papers were signed yesterday.
The denial of nomination to former MP R. Dumindha Silva was discussed during the political program ‘Balaya’ which telecast on Hiru TV last night.
