A group of boys and a bevy of girls had got in to 138 the bus from Nugegoda to go towards Kottawa and the girls had got inside the bus and the boys had wanted to hang around the foot board.
The conductor of the bus had requested them in a polite manner to get in to the bus without hanging around the foot board as it disturbs the other passengers as well as due to the risk factor. The boys without giving much consideration to what the conductor said had continued to stay on the foot board after an argument.
As the bus stopped near Townhall bus stop , the boys had pulled the conductor out of the bus and had beaten him up just to show off and to win the attention of the girls who travelled in the same bus.
The driver of the bus had intervened in the case and had saved the conductor from this group of attention seekers .
