General Secretary of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya, MP Udaya Gammanpila was arrested at his office in Pagoda, this morning.
 
MP Udaya Gammanpila was summoned before the Police Special Investigations Unit recently, to give a statement with regard to an incident of selling shares to an Australian firm using a forged power of attorney.

The share holder of the relevant Australian firm lodged a complaint in 2015, stating that the power of attorney produced in April 1997 has been forged.
 
However, during his arrest MP Gammanpila took to Facebook to share his thoughts..
