Olympic Silver medalist Susanthika Jayasinghe was admitted to the Gampaha hospital this morning following an assault incident at her home.

It was reported that her husband Dhammika Nanda Kumara has thus assaulted her.


Susanthika said that she was living in great fear with Dhammika. She said that he would come home drunk and assault her.

Recalling the incident that left her injured, Susanthika said her husband forced her to kneel and hit her with a shovel.
