Malambe- Athurugiriya area close to Athurugiriya inter exchange in express way is flooded.

Director Operations for Express way processes, S. Opanayake told Hiru Gossip that motorists moving between Kadawath and Athurugiriya inter-exchanges may experience difficulties in entering Malambe yet reach Athurugiriya area will less difficulty.


Vehicles coming from Kottawa to Athurugiriya can enter Malambe town but cannot enter Athurugiriya.

Thus, vehicles heading to Malambe from Kadawatha may only reach their destination by traveling many more kilometers after going through Kottawa.

Meanwhile, the entrance to Southern Expressway from Kaduwela had flood water exceeding 5 feet height.
