Seven University of Kelaniya students, including four females and three males, were remanded till May 17 by the Mahara Magistrate's Court (MC) over an incident of ragging.


They were arrested yesterday (05th) on a complaint filed by a first year female student who claimed that they ragged her over an imagined rule banning long trousers for first year female students.

They had allegedly verbally assaulted her using filthy language.
