Officer William Stacy, in Alabama, found a woman stealing five eggs to feed her family.

Instead of arresting 47-year-old Helen Johnson, the officer has surprised her with a compassionate act.

Stacy has bought the carton of eggs for her, and shared a touching hug. Its video went viral on social media.

Later the incident got even merrier, when Stacy and colleagues went an extra mile to give two truckloads of food to the mother and grandmother.

Even though this incident took place in 2014, its memory still resonates through people’s hearts.
