Love is of course a strange feeling that tosses people. A love that sooth a heart can throw oneself into a dark abyss of pain and regret the other moment. People select different ways to overcome the pain once they lose the love of their lives while some narrow mindedly choose death.
Deumi Perera from Kandy is another misfortunate victim of lost love who embraced death.
According to social media posts of Deumi Perara and her friends, Deumi had been in love with a peer who later decided to walk away from her life.
After posting an image depicting ‘I like Death’ in her facebook wall, Deumi had bid farewell to her life by committing suicide.
Many of her friends convey their deepest sympathies to their lost friend proving many facts she expressed about death before she took that unwise decision. She had repeatedly stated that everyone would love her the day she leaves the living to death.
Meanwhile, her close friends clue that her death was merely a result of her ex-boyfriend while many other seem to be confused about the decision she took.
However, if Deumi could put the massive courage she needed to commit suicide into living as a strong girl, many including her parents and near-dear-ones would have been a great support to her. Deumi’s pathetic story reminds us that life is worth living for the ones who love you, a lot more than dying for a lost love.
