The body was identified by late Prasanna’s mother and his brother and was exhumed before Embilipitiya Additional Magistrate Prasanna Fernando.
Three forensic doctors including Colombo Chief Judicial Medical Officer Ajith Tennakoon were present at the exhumation of the body.
Sumith Prasanna’s body was to be exhumed on 10th of this month but was postponed to 15th March as the Chief Judicial Medical Officer couldn’t attend the matter on the previously agreed date.
Near-dear ones of late Prasanna had gathered near his tomb to witness the exhumation and spotted shedding tears when the body was exhumed.
