A tenth grader was forced to apply chillie on his eyes, eat a love letter and drink urine after his lover’s father found the letter.
The father had flown into a fit of rage when he found a love letter addressed to his seventh grade daughter and decided to take law onto his hands. He had kidnapped the youth and applied chillie powder on his eyes, forced to eat the letter he wrote and even drink his lover’s urine as punishment.
“I was playing in the school playground when this person put me on his bike forcefully and took me away saying he had to talk about a letter,” the youth said.
He added that he was taken to the man’s house, tied to a tree and severely assaulted. “When I was feeling faintish I asked for a glass of water. Then he made his daughter to urinate and forced me to drink it,” he added.
His ordeal did not end there. The father had applied chillie powder on his eyes and left the youth in great pain.
The youth’s aunt who found him tied to the tree had rushed him to the Thambuththegama General Hospital with the help of his mother.
A complaint was lodged by the victim’s mother at the Thambuththegama Police last Friday (29).
“But, the man who assaulted my son was not arrested,” the mother claimed.
Assistant Superintendent of Police at the Thambuththegama defended their stance saying that the accused was not home when they visited in numerous occasions to take him into custody.
