This has been much discussed recently due to the statement made by the youth who handed over the CCTV footage to the media stating that the person in the CCTV footage is the deceased Sumith.
He has stated that the party had taken place at his residence and it is recorded in the CCTV footage the manner in which the police were rounding up and assaulting Sumith in the road in between 11.30pm and 12 midnight.
Statements have been given in connection to the incident by the cameraman as well the videographer who came to the party.
He states that the police officers came and disrupted the party and started a dispute.
