It is reported from Kadgannawa area of an incident where the footages of women who are residing being observed by directing a CCTV camera towards the bathroom and toilet of a lady house officer. She has filed a complaint in this regard to the police as well.

Meanwhile it is reported that the owners of the business place who are said to have fixed the CCTV camera also have filed a complaint to the Kadugannawa police stating that they were threatened with death threats.

The Kadugannawa police have launched investigation on a complain received from the lady house officer stating that the residents who are residing in the upstairs of the three story house situated at Kadugannawa Henawala where she is residing are viewing footages of her bathroom by fixing a CCTV camera towards her bathroom.

The persons from the business place have also filed a complaint on last (9) to the police stating that the lady house officer has threatened them with death threats.

It is reported that on the 9th a person said to be the lady house officer‘s brother had threatened with death threats and abused with filth, from the down story of the building.

It is also reported that after a while the lady house officer also had come and threatened stating them that she could go to any limits legally as per her designation and to be beware of her.

It is further reported that the Kadugannawa police have taken steps to send the CCTV camera fittings to Moratuwa University to check whether it contains the footages which were said to have been recorded and the Kadugannawa police have also launched investigations in connection with the death threats by the lady house officer and her brother to the owners of the business place.
