Popular Latin American singer Enrique Iglesias’s concert held in Colombo recently was highly criticized by many Sri Lankans. President Maithreepala Sirisena made International headlines after expressing his view on the concert.

The concert was organized by Live Events Sri Lanka.


Colombo Municipal Council has decided to black list Live Events Sri Lanka for Live Events Sri Lanka has skipped tax commitment of 29 million rupees to CMC.

A court case was filed against this company over the same reason.

Among the mostly discussed incidents of the concert were the instances when a girl hopped into the stage to kiss the Latin American star and another throwing a brassiere at him. President Maithripala Sirisena stated that the organizers of this disgraceful concert should be reprimanded.
