It is revealed that up to 4500-6000 sex workers are working in Ayurvedic massage centers situated in Colombo.

Though it is revealed that many of them are infected with HIV Aids disease it is an issue that there is no government institution to look in to regarding the above matter.


This was revealed at a training workshop held yesterday at the Hector Kobbekaduwa research institute.

It was stressed that although the Health Ministry has given  license to doctors operate a Ayurvedic massage center the staff who are serving there do not have a Training Institute.
