It is reported that police head quarter’s information state that an invisible hand is in operation to hinder the investigations into Waseem Thajudeen’s murder.
News regarding this was published in a weekend newspaper as well. The information sources states that the police investigations of this incident are taking place due to heavy pressure from various fractions.
It is further reported that since many fractions involved in the previous regime’s corruptions are still in duty in same ranks such hindrances’ are prevalent in carrying out investigations into this incident.
It was later revealed that when Thajudeen’s body was kept in the Colombo high court medical officers’ office certain body parts were misplaced.
The police did not receive any assistance while taking information about suspicious telephone numbers in connection with the murder. T
he police who carry out investigations in this regard state that they are prepared to arrest the suspects in connection as soon as they receive orders to arrest from the judiciary stating that Thajudeen’s death is a murder.
The Colombo Acting Magistrate Nishantha Peiris stated on last 10th that the court is suspicious whether the death of Waseem Thajudeen is a car accident and is to give an order after assessing investigation reports.
