The programme of collecting freshly harvested rice for the 'Hiru Sath-Paththini Seth Shanthiya' commenced today with the Kap Situweema ceremony held at the auspicious time of 10:36 a.m.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Asia Broadcasting Corporation Chairman Rayynor Silva at the White Lotus premises in Bolgoda.
Following this, the freshly harvested rice collection for the 'Hiru Sath-Paththini Seth Shanthiya' began at three locations.
Accordingly, the collection of freshly harvested rice was carried out at the 'Ruwanweli Maha Seya', Anuradhapura, 'Kiriwehera', Kataragama and Mahiyangana Raja Maha Vihara.
In compliance with both scientific and health methods and guidelines issued by health authorities, HIRU TV and HIRU FM have collaborated to conduct the 'Sath Paththini Seth Shanthikaramya' that will be a blessing to the people of Sri Lanka.
Based on the concept of Asia Broadcasting Corporation Chairman Rayynor Silva, the 'Sath Paththini Seth Shanthikarmaya' is scheduled to be held at the Nawagamuwa Purana Sath-Paththini Devalaya from midnight on 14 April and will continue until 03:00 a.m.
The programme to collect freshly harvested rice to prepare the 'Deva Danaya' commenced today (31) and will continue until 09 April, and you also have the opportunity to contribute to this great 'Pinkama'.
The programme was launched for ten days along three routes that expand across the country.
The first route is from the Ruwanweli Maha Seya and will travel to Gampaha via Karuwalagaswewa, Anamaduwa, Thalawa, Dambulla, Kurunegala, Giriulla and Divulapitiya.
The second route will be from the Mahiyangana Raja Maha Vihara and reach Maha Ingiriya via Polonnaruwa, Giritale, Matale, Gampola, Hanwella, Yakkala and Homagama.
The third route is from the Kiri Vehera, Kataragama, and will end up at Horana via Moneragala, Tissamaharama, Hambantota, Weeraketiya, Akuressa, Deniyaya, Neluwa and Matugama.
Accordingly, the freshly harvested rice was collected at the Ruwanweli Maha Seya, Mahiyangana Raja Maha Vihara and Kataragama Kiri Vehera from 08:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., today (31), while freshly harvested rice was collected at the Buttala Yudhaganawa Rajamaha Viharaya, Nochchiyagama Buddhist Centre and Giradurukotte Sri Dharmodaya Maha Piriven from 12:00 p.m. to 02:00 p.m.
Freshly harvested rice was also be collected at the Badalkumbura Sri Parakumbaramaya, Rajanganaya Yaya 9 Sri Bodhiraja Ramaya and Dehiatta Kandiya Buddhist Centre from 03:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m., today (31).
Accordingly, 'Shanthikarma Yathrawa' will travel from 8 am to 11 am tomorrow to Rangiri Pawwa Seevali Dhamma Resort, Moneragala, to Kala Oya Vijaya Bodhirajaramaya and Dimbulagala Senasana and from 12 noon to 2 pm to Wellawaya Urban Buddhist Centre, Karuwalagaswewa Wijayaraja Viharaya and Sri Saddhatissa Monastery and from 3pm-5pm to Thanamalwila Viharaya, Polonnaruwa Siri Vijayaba Maha Pirivena and Anamaduwa Sri Anandaramaya.
